Chapter 25: Reaper of the Trial

Chapter 25: Reaper of the Trial

"Someone who passed the hidden stage without losing? It\'s not often I get to see that."

The Guardian of the Bloodline Trial reached out his hand to help Raven up.

Raven was pleasantly surprised to find just the man he was looking for. By now, he had regained some of his strength.

He also saw the Mysterious Merchant nearby, who still couldn\'t believe that Raven hadn\'t lost.

"The Shadows that I faced on the platform? What were they?" Raven inquired, thinking back to his brother.

Initially, he thought that it was just a shadow, without any fragment of the real person. That\'s why, he was surprised when his brother remembered him.

"Who knows?" The Guardian simply shrugged. "I\'m just a Guardian of this place. There are things that even I don\'t know about."

"All I can tell you is that Hellfire is filled with mysteries that even gods can\'t see through... You\'ll realize more when you leave this place."

The Guardian didn\'t provide any answers at all. It was unclear if he really didn\'t know anything, or if he just wasn\'t allowed to talk about it. However, it was clear that he couldn\'t be forced.

Raven simply glanced at the empty spot in the sky, where the Platform used to be previously.

....

For the next few weeks, the name of Raven was slowly spreading everywhere in the Bloodline Trial.

It was said that there was a Player who was equipped with high tier items. The player never entered the Rest Zone.

If anything, he went from one trial to another trial, finishing them in a record time! In fact, Raven even managed to find the Hidden Trials that no one else knew about.

There were two names given to him. No matter which Species it was, there was no one who didn\'t know about it!

One of the names given to him by the other Players was the Achievement Hunter, who wanted to monopolize Achievements in the Bloodline Trial!

As for the other name... It was something even worse! This was also the name that was more popular in the entire Bloodline Trial. Raven was called the Reaper.

In the last few weeks, many people had noticed that the mysterious sword worth twenty million was missing in the Merchant Shop was missing!

This news spread like fire, since that sword was the one thing that almost everyone wanted! It was clear that someone had bought that sword!

It didn\'t take long for the other Players to realize who had bought that sword!

Even though Raven didn\'t return to the Rest Hall, there were many Players already in the Third and Fourth Trial Stage!

Many traps were set to kill Raven to steal his treasures! Unfortunately for them, there was a limit of how many people could be at a Stage together.

Throughout the last two weeks, many people tried to kill Raven, but not a single amongst them succeeded! If anything, everyone who tried to kill him ended up dying!

Thanks to the people who kept coming to him like flies to die at his hands, Raven\'s experience only increased, along with his Level.

At the same time, he also received a new Title from the system. The Title of [Killer] was assigned to him.

Usually, a player could only equip one Title to them. However, that wasn\'t a problem with Raven, who used both the Titles.

Thanks to that, it didn\'t take long before his strength had caught up to the people who spent close to a year in the Bloodline Trial! With time, the people who tried to kill him kept decreasing!

If anything, Raven alone had killed close to half the Players in the Bloodline Trial. There were not many people who didn\'t hate him to their core.

Unfortunately, they couldn\'t do much. They could only gang up on him, when he returned to the Rest Hall. But Raven never did that. It was as if the guy was on a mission, that he didn\'t even think about resting!

As Raven reached the last trial, almost all the Draconians and other overlord species members in the Bloodline Trials were starting to get concerned that he could take the top position in the Bloodline Ranking!

They couldn\'t do anything but regret the fact that they hadn\'t killed Raven when they had a chance.

....

Over two months had passed since Raven arrived in this strange world. His physique appeared to be even stronger.

Even though he didn\'t look bulky and was still quite slim, but his body was giving a feeling that it was brimming with strength.

What was even more attention grabbing was that he was surrounded by a killing aura, since he had killed so many people in the Bloodline Trial!

His killing aura alone was enough to scare many ordinary people from getting close to him. It was as if Raven had walked through the sea of blood!

At that moment, his body was covered in Blood. There were sword marks all over his body. His breathing was heavy, but his expressions were calm. There was a look of relief in his eyes, as he looked at the Golden Door before him.

"Here." Next to the door, the Mystery Merchant was standing. He tossed a small pill at Raven.

Raven grabbed the healing pill, placing it in his mouth to let the effects take place.

"How much do I need to pay you, old man?" Raven asked, revealing a smile.

At the start, he used to be very grim, as his mind only had a singular thought. However, after spending two months, he had time to think about many things.

He knew that he couldn\'t let his emotions take over. He had to use his brain as well, if he wanted to achieve something in Hellfire.

The Mystery Merchant could only smile in response. "You little brat, think of it as a gift from me, on completing the Bloodline Trials. Pass through the door and receive your Bloodline!"

Not too far from them, even the Guardians were standing. His arms were folded around his chest. Even though no one could see his face, thanks to the most, there was a smile on his lips.

Finally it was time for Raven to receive the Bloodline that was to decide his future!
